Prepare yourself for a video that shows true selflessness and bravery.
When I was a child, I was near obsessed with sinking sand. Upon growing up, I figured only characters in Loony Tunes cartoons were susceptible to becoming stuck in the hazard, but apparently not.
Whilst visiting Thailand, an elderly Norwegian couple were trying to capture photographs of the local birds, when they became stuck, wait-high in the mud of the Krabi River shores.
After realising they had become stuck, a local fisherman makes his way over to the couple, as the video opens with that looks like a mugging in slow motion.
However, after first saving their expensive equipment (because priorities, right?) he attempted to free the could by offering himself as a support and pulling.
When that method clearly wasn’t working, he lied on the ground, offering his entire body’s surface area as a support for them the pull themselves free, not even taking a moment to consider the danger he was putting himself in.
Fortunately for everyone involved, the drama ended soon after and they were all okay. But locals in the area, as well as viewers all over the world have now hailed this humble and selfless fisherman and hero.
