The Devel Sixteen was unveiled at the 2013 Dubai International Motor Show. The logo on the stand of this supercar says Made in Dubai, according to its creator Majid Al Attar the new Devel Sixteen is created with the passion of making this car a legend in the history of supercars.
Devel Sixteen is capable of generating 5000 HP from a quad-turbo V16 engine at 7500 RPM. The top speed of the Devel Sixteen is a claimed 562 km/hr (367 mph), while 0 to 100 km/hr will come up in just 1.8s. Rumours are that there have already been 3 customer orders.
It will also have a “street mode” that will deactivate eight of the 16 cylinders and reduce power to about 800-900 horsepower, and activating the rest 8 cylinders for releasing another 4.200 hp with push-of-a-button.
The problem is that there is so much here that seems impossible, for example there are no road-legal tires available that can handle that speed, and the offered price of just $1 million for impossible 5,000 HP monster supercar is kind of cheap. For now Devel has no proof to back up the insane idea of 5,000 hp engine and the whole project stays as only imaginary figures.
