The huge sign of 45-foot-tall and 350 feet long HOLLYWOOD is built on Mount Lee in Hollywood hills area of the Santa Monica Mountains. It was created as an advertisement for a local real estate development. The sign is protected and promoted by the Hollywood Sign Trust.
